Server Position

Position Overview:

Servers at Ava June are the face of our hospitality, providing an exceptional guest experience through attentive service, deep menu knowledge, and a commitment to teamwork. This role requires a balance of efficiency, warmth, and professionalism to ensure guests feel welcome, well cared for, and eager to return. As part of the service team, servers collaborate closely with the kitchen and bar staff to enhance the dining experience through seamless execution and personalized recommendations.

Reporting Relationships:

Servers report directly to the management team and work collaboratively across all departments to provide an exceptional dining experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:

● Welcome Guests & Guide Their Dining Experience: Greet guests with warmth and professionalism, present the menu, highlight specials, and provide personalized recommendations.

● Seamlessly Manage Orders & Service Flow: Accurately take, confirm, and deliver food and beverage orders, ensuring smooth communication with the kitchen and bar team for timely execution.

● Maintain Clean & Organized Service Areas: Keep service stations stocked, organized, and clean before, during, and after shifts to ensure efficiency.

● Guarantee Accuracy & Guest Satisfaction: Confirm orders before delivery and check in with guests to ensure their meals are prepared to satisfaction, proactively addressing any needs.

● Enhance the Guest Experience Through Proactive Service: Monitor table needs, provide timely refills, pre-bus tables, and anticipate guest requests to create a seamless experience.

● Facilitate Checkouts & Express Appreciation: Present the bill promptly and accurately, process payments efficiently, and genuinely thank guests to encourage repeat visits.

● Collaborate Across Departments for a Unified Guest Experience: Maintain proactive communication with management, kitchen staff, bartenders, and fellow servers to optimize service.

● Ensure Compliance with Food & Beverage Regulations: Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, food handling standards, and Oklahoma liquor laws.

● Maintain Professionalism & Workplace Safety: Demonstrate personal cleanliness and hygiene, address any spills or hazards, and remain aware of safety protocols.

● Support Restaurant Success Beyond Basic Service: Participate in menu knowledge sessions, team meetings, and service improvement initiatives as needed.
